Oh hello… it’s a three majors kind of week then. The interesting times keep coming, don’t they?
The appearance of the World is a hint that we are dealing with endings and beginnings. Phases of life approaching completion as others begin anew: thresholds to be crossed. It can be an exciting time or an anxious one, depending on where you stand of course!
The remaining two cards suggest that the theme we’re dealing with is our sense of ourselves and what we contribute to the world. Both the Empress and the Hierophant are outward-facing figures, concerned with the external rather than the inner life.
The Empress is deeply concerned with the physical and the sensual self, but she is not all softness: she rules implacably. She is a figure who knows she wants and will act to get it.
The Hierophant deals with the spiritual, it’s true, but in the realm of our connections to others. What common beliefs or characteristics do we share? What can we learn from one another (something we touched on a few weeks ago, when he last popped up… spotting a pattern)?
So – how do we want to be seen, this week? Who do we want to be to other people, from here on? How do we go about getting the things that we desire? What can others teach us about ourselves? Plenty to think on.
