Hmm. Relationships are our central theme this week. I don’t think I need to explain that part any further, do I?
What needs more attention are the surrounding cards. Look at the Four of Vessels (aka Cups). Never mind how the elephant got up there: the question is, how is it going to get down without something breaking? So it stays put, precariously balanced and in all likelihood, feeling rather stuck.
Meanwhile, we have the Moon – another strong link to Cancer after the Chariot last week. We are approaching the mid-point of Cancer season (June 21st – July 22nd), which again suggests to me that we should pay close attention to what happens in this time period. In particular, we should note the strong energetic currents at work – three major arcana cards last week, two today – because it feels very much like the significance of what happens in Cancer season will have implications well beyond its end date.
But back to this week. If we are at a stalemate in a relationship just now, unsure where to turn or afraid to make a bold move in case we break something, this is a time for caution. Robert Place describes this version of the Moon as a card of “rest, retreat, anticipation, preparation, dreams.” For me, its advice is to heed those dreams, our intuitions and the things that come from the dark and still places within us. These are where we will find answers.
So, take your time before tackling any relationship matters this week and when you move – if you choose to move – do so very carefully.
Have a good week and stay safe x
